TOO LATE FOR TERRI
My heart aches this morning at the passing of Terri Schiavo. While I am glad that her suffering has ended, I think it is a travesty that she was starved to death. I think there will be dangerous social and judicial repercussions that will haunt our nation for years as a result of this. I am staunchly pro-life and believe that honoring life is what God expects of us.
In other, less important, even frivolous, matters:
1) Ignore the new version of Stepford Wives and rent the 1975 original horror classic. Mrs. Media Matters and I did just that via our subscription to Netflix and were very pleased with the results. The 1970s version with Katherine Ross is better written, more suspenseful and the acting is superb. The recent remake with Nicole Kidman is fluff.
2) It was great to have Lost back last night. After 3 weeks of repeats I was itching for a new episode. And last night did not disappoint. The show is clever, creepy, and contagious. I can't wait each week to find out what other oddity will be explored on the island. My suggestion-- get lost in Lost. Wednesday's Alias episode was also strong. The Mrs. and I enjoyed seeing Marshall shine in a mission. He even saved Ms. Bristow's life. Long live Sydney Bristow.
